INSIGHTS
Alt-Black

Ten years ago, I graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design with a Graphic + Interactive Communication degree. From that day, I knew I never wanted to work for anyone but myself. I wanted to run a design agency. It took me eight years to learn and understand business enough to start the type of agency I have always dreamed of. I worked with the top New York City design agencies and knew what not to do and how I wanted to run my future agency.
I saw the top creative directors, creatives, executives, and business people at all the agencies, and many of the same white men still dominating the design industry. The lack of Latino and other minorities in the design world is still a shock, and it was a core issue I wanted to address. Last but not least, I see the design industry is at an exciting point; technology is moving so fast in so many sectors that many companies repeat visual patterns on a visual level. This is normal for startups and companies to do this. Yet lack their vision and the overall goal of impacting the world. Design itself reflects the technology of media, marketing, and advertising. People don’t also like change. Yet, in a world where founders and teams change the landscape of their industries, I fully believe it’s a dishonor of the impact they are making.

Our Promise
Every startup deserves a brand that reflects its impact on the world.
At the core, I believe that every startup deserves a brand that reflects the impact they are making in the world.
In this world, you have a chance to change the world; with that, I believe anything in the future should look and feel like the future. It should inspire and drive people in overall humanity. So to all the founders, CEOs, designers, artists, and whoever, I invite you to keep changing the landscape with technology and visuals. With startups, pre-seed rounds are reaching 8 million dollars. Design is critical from day 1. To be an innovator, you have not only built it but also have to look like it. Don’t look like the past because your competitor won’t.
Are you ready?
